Specialists People will Taste Monthly Allowance- BBC Director







A House of Representatives aspirant from Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Ogun State, Otunba Gbolahan Macjob has promised to sponsor bills that will checkmate swindlers, mediocres in the media industry  and help specialists people by giving them allowance if he emerged.

Macjob, who is contesting under Young Democratic Party, YDP said as a media professional, he would sponsor bills to eradicate untrained journalists, who are giving journalism a bad name.

He revealed that he was a former Press Officer to former Ogun State Governor, Gbenga Daniel stated this yesterday while declaring his ambition at NUJ Press Centre, Iwe-Irohin House, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Gbolahan who spoke at NUJ hall Abeokuta, the State capital while declaring his ambition assured that he would make sure "Disability" people are relevant in the State.

His words "I will sponsor bills that will compel the publishers or proprietors to be responsible and ensure they don’t owe journalists salaries any longer”.

“That is why, when I get to Abuja, I’m going to set machinery in motion to clean the industry of charlatans and mediocres. The way journalism is being practiced in Nigeria is appalling and worrisome to some of us from this part of the world practicing outside the country. Macjob said.

He said "I picked YDP because we are disenfranchised by other popular Party", i believed YDP will make history and win in forthcoming election.

The BBC director claimed that, the presence of moneybags and charlatans in the industry has bastardized journalism profession in Nigeria.

Prince Obasanjo Obasesan, the Young Democracy Party Ogun State Chairman said YDP door is open for any  fresh aspirants who have intention to vie for any post in 2019 general election.

While answering journalists on how the party would affects the elderly ones positively, the YDP South West Coordinator, Segun Nelson said the word "Young" should not discouraged anyone,  because we have positive mind for everybody across the States.

Gbolahan who was accompanied by the   Abeokuta South House of Assembly aspirant Hon.Abidemi Aboaba said his aspiration is to represent the quality legislation for economic re-engineering the constituency and state in general.

He promised to bring governance to the doorstep of his constituents if elected come 2019.

Aboaba, a graduate of Agric Engineering from University of Ilorin pledged to invest in agriculture and empower the youths with modern agricultural tools.
